Frictograph tells stories about frictions of all kinds: between people, places, systems and the lives they touch. It records friction instead of pretending it can be engineered away. The point is not a frictionless world, but a clearer view of complexity, ingenuity and how people make things work.

My journalism moves through society, technology and global China, and my work received the SOPA Excellence Award for Technology Reporting. Based in the Netherlands, I grew up in a small town along the lower banks of the Yellow River and later studied in global cities through social equity initiatives that shaped my path. I carry that ethos: knowledge, opportunity and public voice should not belong only to the already powerful.
